July 2010 brought yet another devastating disaster to Pakistan. Almost 70% of Pakistani population was affected by floods due to heavy monsoon rains. An estimated 21 Million people we displaced due to floods. This number exceeds the total number of affected people of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, the 2005 Kashmir earthquake and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. These were and still are troubled times for the poor people of Pakistan. People who have lost everything they had.
Avenir Technologies took up the task to do everything in our power to help the affected people. 25 volunteers from the company led by the CEO went to the Charsadda area in the province of Kyber Paktunkhwa and delivered a one month supply of food, water and medication to 450 affected families. The area covered lied between the River Kabul and River Swat.
